This sweet friend of mine is expecting her second and, it’s a surprise! I love it when people wait to know the sex of a baby, it really is one of the most exciting moments!

There is no doubt that this little girl will be loved beyond belief. I had such a good time at this session! They were so relaxed together and so in love. I could just tell that their new roles as ‘parents’ will fit them perfectly.

Sometimes, you just need pictures to rejuvenate your soul and clear your mind.

Sometimes, you just need pictures to remind you how truly beautiful you are.

Sometimes, you just need pictures as a reminder of the love you have.

Sometimes, you just need pictures so that you can cry happy tears.

Sometimes, you just need pictures to help you heal.

Sometimes, you just need pictures to remind you to keep going forward.

Sometimes, you just need pictures because you are so deserving of them.

Sometimes, I connect with families or people for whom I hope my pictures can serve as all the above. This was that family. I hope these pictures bring joy to their hearts and a smile to their faces. The road they have ahead of them is a long one, and I know that with their faith and love they will walk this journey hand in hand.

It’s was such a honor to take these pictures for this sweet couple. They will be wonderful parents and I can’t wait to see them grow into that role.

And, I know their little girl is going to be beautiful but can you just imagine if she happens to inherit her daddy’s dimples…On a side note: Brandy and I grew up together and were quite the handful, to say the least. I can guarantee that if you had asked our moms 15 years ago, they could never have imagined where we would be today and that we would both be mothers. It’s a wonderful little journey, life.

My new, sweet niece. I love her so. It’s like having another one of my own all over again. Except this time, I can avoid the sleepless nights and screaming. Ah, who am I kidding, I still have all that at my house.

I am so honored to be her Aunt and our hearts are so full right now after a day of loving on this sweet baby. It’s so very special for me to be able document this time for her and I hope that one day, she will look at these pictures and know just how much she is loved.

This sweet girl happens to be the baby sister to my daughter’s boyfriend, 2 isn’t too young, is it? My daughter has a thing for his curly blonde locks. I tell ya, she knows how to pick em. I was honored when mom asked me to photograph her baby girl. What I thought was even more special was that she wanted to photograph just her daughter. That’s so special to me.

She has the most beautiful eyes that I have ever seen. They are clean, crisp and just gorgeous. I had already packed up all my gear and was about to leave when I saw her laying so contently having her bottle. I had to capture it. It’s actually my favorite picture. Just so sweet and innocent.

This little one fought a good fight but, eventually, I won.

She had the most beautiful skin color that I have ever seen on a newborn.

While baby sister was being fed, big sister and I had a great time in her room. I could have hung out with her all day. She is at such a fun age and so lively and interactive! And, she was quite the shutter bug. She’s got potential, don’t you think??

There are not many people who could pull me out of my, very extended, maternity leave and snuggle time with this little man… However, my sister is just one of those people. I am uber excited about being an aunt and I can’t wait to get some snuggles with their little one. I, of course, will be the ‘cool’ aunt who takes them to get their first tattoo, buys all the loud, obnoxious gifts and lets them do everything that their parents won’t. Yes, I can’t wait. This little one is so blessed. I am excited to see their little family grow, to watch my sister become a mom and brother-in-law a dad. They will be such wonderful parents and I feel such joy and happiness for them.

Seriously, she is 32 weeks. Amazing. How is she so teeny-tiny, you ask?? Yeah, she ran a full marathon(that’s 26.2 miles, people) when she was 5 months. Yeah, I did that too, when I wasn’t pregnant, and could barely walk for a week. Yeah, she’s kind of amazing.
