Pure Wonder Photography. Do you believe? Austin Photographer.

Round Rock Eli with Christmas lightsDon’t you just feel it? The cold air, the smell of the freshly cut Christmas tree sitting in our house, the hot chocolate and gingerbread lattes. Yes, the holidays are here. Finally. The radio stations are playing round the clock holiday music and life is good. We always try to go and cut down our Christmas trees. It was a tradition started when I was a child and something that I would like to carry onto my children. Not that there is anything wrong with a tree in a box, we did that for years. But, there is something special about going out to look for the perfect tree. It just justifies that in fact, the holidays are here. Then, bringing it home and the smell that fills your house. That fresh, pine smell. It makes me giddy inside. Lets not forget about the lights. Lighting the tree is magical. Eli looks at it as if it is the best thing in the whole world. He painstakingly makes sure that his lights are just perfect and then he religiously turns them on every morning and turns them off every evening. The holiday rush has slowed down; orders are in, CD’s are ready to go, packaging is complete. Now, I am enjoying spending the time with my family.

On another note, I am now booking for 2010. I only book a limited number of sessions per month so, if you have a time in 2010 when you want pictures taken, now is the time. Think about one year birthdays, 6 month pictures, anniversaries, birthdays…just think ahead!
