I got a clue on my doorstep the other day that I might have gone ‘a little’ overboard on Christmas stuff…

And, pay no attention to all of the Halloween/Thanksgiving decor because I am ‘that’ neighbor that never puts their decorations away in a timely fashion!

I should have another, very special, package arriving this week. I ordered a new lens!!! A new piece of camera equipment is one of those things that just makes me happy. This particular lens is something new to me. I am a prime lens girl, meaning that all of the lenses that I use have a fixed focal length. Essentially meaning that ‘zooming’ is me moving back and forth. There are many reasons why I love prime lenses but the main reason being that I can shoot in really low light without having to use a flash. However, the time has come for me to invest in a zoom lens. I toyed with the idea of getting the 24mm prime lens but that will come later. My main reason for getting this lens is to use with my own children especially for my little man who hates my camera. He has been neglected lately by my camera and I am hoping that this will change soon. For now, I am checking the shipping status for my new baby and waiting its arrival. I am even thinking about asking my hubby to work from home that day so that I can make sure one of us is here to sign for the package. I think my heart would break if I saw that little slip of paper taped to my door saying that I wasn’t home for the package.
