Hands down, the easiest baby. Ever. It’s a big statement to make, I know. I’m jumping out on a limb here but really, that easy. For 2.5 hours, little A let me mold him and place him and move him and he didn’t make a peep. He was so content and relaxed. He didn’t care if he was laying on his back, his side, his tummy. He was just comfortable any which way. Not only was he an easy baby, but also he was so handsome. It was like he was this little man packaged into a little tiny bundle. His features were so pronounced and his hair, well, his hair was something in and of itself. He’s a hearthrob guys, I’m just warning you now. Sooner than later, you are going to have every little teenage girl in the neighborhood at your door. Just remember who warned you.
I’m really a natural light photographer at heart. I like to work with what is there and usually when it’s gloomy and icky out, I would just rather reschedule. However, you just don’t have that luxury when you have a newborn. Rain or shine, you just gotta go for it. Usually when I get to a house for a session, I will scout out the best available light. I leave no corner unturned. The bathroom, bedroom, you just never know where you are going to get the light coming through. But, I knew on the drive over there that it just wasn’t gonna happen. But, lucky for me, I’m not just a ‘one stop’ shop. I got out the old’ flash’eroo and went to work. Sometimes, you just can’t wait for the natural light to come to you. You just have to get it yourself. That’s how it was today. It just goes to show, you have to be prepared for any situation. I will be returning next week for some family shots when the weather outside is a little more friendly. And, just a side note for all those aspiring newborn photographers…the thing about photographing newborns is that it just makes you want to have more. I mean, really, my baby is only 7 months old but, I get my hands on a ‘true’ newborn and you just can’t help it, you just want one.
Thank you guys so much for letting me come out today! I hope you enjoy your peak…
And, because I had so much fun doing it last week, here it goes again…if cute little A gets 20 comments on his pictures then his wonderful parents get to pick an 8X10 of their choice!!
And seriously, his mom made this blanket for him…I am super jealous, makes me want to bust out my old Singer.
