This little guy was so cute and so alert. He had three phases that he liked; eating, sleeping and peeing. Once he nursed, I had about 20 minutes until the cycle would repeat. Luckily, we hung in there and the little guy eventually turned to my side. Isn’t he handsome?!?!

As a mom of 3 thumb-suckers, I have a special place in my heart for them…

This sweet friend of mine is expecting her second and, it’s a surprise! I love it when people wait to know the sex of a baby, it really is one of the most exciting moments!

Meghann, you are beautiful on the inside and out and I hope that your know that! This pregnancy hasn’t been easy but you have done it with such grace and love. I can’t wait to meet your newest little bundle!

When I got home, I uploaded these pictures and my husband was in the office at the same time. His response, “that is a beautiful baby”. I couldn’t agree more. She was absolutely wonderful. And, she officially took her place as The Easiest Newborn Ever.

This sweet girl happens to be the baby sister to my daughter’s boyfriend, 2 isn’t too young, is it? My daughter has a thing for his curly blonde locks. I tell ya, she knows how to pick em. I was honored when mom asked me to photograph her baby girl. What I thought was even more special was that she wanted to photograph just her daughter. That’s so special to me.

She has the most beautiful eyes that I have ever seen. They are clean, crisp and just gorgeous. I had already packed up all my gear and was about to leave when I saw her laying so contently having her bottle. I had to capture it. It’s actually my favorite picture. Just so sweet and innocent.

This little one fought a good fight but, eventually, I won.

She had the most beautiful skin color that I have ever seen on a newborn.

While baby sister was being fed, big sister and I had a great time in her room. I could have hung out with her all day. She is at such a fun age and so lively and interactive! And, she was quite the shutter bug. She’s got potential, don’t you think??

I wanted to go shoot just for fun. They wanted to take pictures just for fun. It was a match made in heaven. Such an adorable couple who are so in love with each other and just taking the time to celebrate and remember where they are at this point in their lives.

Remember the rules?

1. No moving to get better light or a better shot.

2. No getting their attention. Just sit, wait and watch.

I had so much fun doing this that I think I’ll try again this week. It’s great to get pictures of your kiddos without having to try at all.

And, don’t you worry all you cloth diaper fans…we are still on the bandwagon but it was wash day!
