This sweet girl happens to be the baby sister to my daughter’s boyfriend, 2 isn’t too young, is it? My daughter has a thing for his curly blonde locks. I tell ya, she knows how to pick em. I was honored when mom asked me to photograph her baby girl. What I thought was even more special was that she wanted to photograph just her daughter. That’s so special to me.

She has the most beautiful eyes that I have ever seen. They are clean, crisp and just gorgeous. I had already packed up all my gear and was about to leave when I saw her laying so contently having her bottle. I had to capture it. It’s actually my favorite picture. Just so sweet and innocent.

This sweet family drove in from Kileen with their 8 day old little bundle of joy. What an honor. He was a sweet little guy that peed on me within the first 30 seconds of holding him…personal record! We had a great session and so many images that I love. Check back later for more but here is one to hold you over during the weekend.

We finished this session right as the drizzle started to really hit. They were such sweet kids and they reminded me so much of my own. I know there is a tired mama out there who would really like to see some pictures before she heads off to bed. I shot these bridals a couple of months ago and after a beautiful ceremony yesterday, Matt and Julie are now married and happily packing their bags for a wonderful honeymoon. So, I am coming to re-visit a wonderful bridal session. It’s out of my ‘norm’ and I had so.much.fun. Julie was an amazing bride to work with and was happily up for anything. And, let me not even mention that it was 30 degree and dropping outside. And, the wind chill. It was so windy. After about 2 hours my fingers were so frozen that I was having difficulty pressing my shutter and adjusting my settings. I don’t know how she did it in a strapless dress. But, she did it and worked it and the results were beautiful.

Thank you Julie for being such an amazing bride! Have fun on your honeymoon and I will be back soon with a peak of your wedding pictures!

This is one of my dearest friends. We are so much alike it’s a bit disgusting but yet different enough to keep it entertaining. She is someone that I can answer the door in my tie-dye t-shirt and Tom’s shoes and not be embarrased(as I hang my head in shame for admitting this in ‘real life’). Really, she’s the only person that I would answer the door like that for. But, it’s my typical garb and she knows it and so we laugh about our crunchy, hippy ways together. That’s what a good friend is all about.

It was about 2 years ago, we were both teaching full time. My son was still a baby and she was pregnant with her first. I would always go ‘complain’ in her room and she would always come into my room for a breath of fresh air. She was the first person that I ever photographed and they are some of my favorite pictures to date. So, here we are 2 years later, I now have 2 ‘babies’ and she is pregnant with her second. We are now staying at home and enjoying life as it is. Full circle, I tell ya.

Christine, you are an awesome friend and I am so excited for you guys! I can’t wait to meet your new little man and to watch your family grow! And, did I mention that I convinced her to cloth diaper. Come on now, you know you want to do it too!!

I am really not a fan of turkey, in fact, I am not really a fan of meat. I eat it but I just don’t love it. But, I love Thanksgiving. Apart from what it represents and the time you get to spend with family, it means that the holidays are here. I love the holidays. I have talked before about my love for Christmas music but it just doesn’t stop there. I love the lights, the trees, the decorations. I love everything about it. I love shopping. I especially love shopping for my kiddos. Man, who knew how much fun Christmas is with kids? Everytime I look for something for Eli, I wonder if his little eyes will light up when he sees it. Like it’s the best thing in the whole world. I love, love, love that feeling. We went and cut down our Christmas tree(s) this year. Yup, we had to get two. A little one for the kiddos and a big one for the family room. Although the little one is a rather pitiful thing it is still cute. It is deceiving looking at them in the field, they just look so full. But, we got it home and it really is a scrawny thing. I still love it and most importantly, he loves it. Onto other things…

Remember this family? Sweet, sweet baby with the cutest dimple. Well, I went back to take some family pictures of them. They are so beautiful and parenthood seems to suite them perfectly.
