This sweet girl happens to be the baby sister to my daughter’s boyfriend, 2 isn’t too young, is it? My daughter has a thing for his curly blonde locks. I tell ya, she knows how to pick em. I was honored when mom asked me to photograph her baby girl. What I thought was even more special was that she wanted to photograph just her daughter. That’s so special to me.

She has the most beautiful eyes that I have ever seen. They are clean, crisp and just gorgeous. I had already packed up all my gear and was about to leave when I saw her laying so contently having her bottle. I had to capture it. It’s actually my favorite picture. Just so sweet and innocent.

We got up bright and early yesterday morning for this little guys photos. Good thing, we managed to beat the heat(for the most part) and catch him before his morning nap. He was wonderfully charming and had the most adorable dimples. Can you tell where he gets them from? And, thanks to my lovely friend Marti for helping me out on this session. It’s getting harder to jump up and down with this big ‘ole belly of mine!

Julie has been waiting so patiently for her sneak. I have been so busy editing the pictures and I didn’t want to post any until I was done with all of them. But, I decided to break my rules and post one two of my favorite. Up until I became a photographer, I always went to a wedding and enjoyed the moment. As a photographer, I like to capture the little moments that most people won’t see or, if they do, they won’t remember them. The moments that can’t be described in words. Those moments that have to be witnessed. Like the groom looking at his bride during the middle of the ceremony. Ever so slightly turning his eyes to glance in awe at the beautiful women standing next to him. And, just because I love this one! Don’t worry Julie, I will be back later with much more!

We had such a fun time photographing the annual Bandana Ball for the Ronald McDonald House of Austin. It is so heartwarming to see everyone having such a good time all the while benefiting such a wonderful organization. And, I mean really, who doesn’t want to see Ronald McDonald ride a mechanical bull? It just doesn’t get much better than that! And, the live auction was amazing. Everything moves so.very.quickly. Before I blinked they were on to something else and numbers were flying in the air left and right and people screaming and hollering. I was just trying to keep my head on and focused in the semi-right direction.

Apparently, I have a new obsession with taking pictures “through” things. Not only do I think it is super cute but it causes me to take a step back and really look at the surroundings. Sometimes, I get so consumed in taking pictures and looking at light that I forget about the actual surroundings. We ventured out to an awesome local park the other day and had a great time. It seems(hopefully) that spring is here. That makes me all warm and fuzzy inside because, honestly, as fun as a little snow is…I am really a warm weather gal.And, yes, I cringe posting this picture. My child, my child that has barely just recovered from her serious bout of pneumonia and other gunk picked up a bucket(no, not ours) and proceeded to put it in her mouth. Cringe, I tell ya, cringe. That is all you can do. Well, cringe and pray. Pray that the germs can stay.away. Yuck. She thought it was delightful and delicious. Cringe. So, we moved on to perhaps one of the coolest treehouses ever. Then, I caught this gem. And, for all those who actually read down to the very bottom…I recently changed 2 things on my blog. One pretty big thing and one, not so big. But, 2 things nonetheless. Remember this little man, or perhaps you remember him here? Have I mentioned how much I love watching my little baby planners grow? It is so much fun because there are some characteristics that just stay with them. For instance, this little guy has had his signature hand clench since I first met him. It’s his move and I’m sure he uses it to pick up all the ladies. Lets not even mention his beautiful blue eyes. I am thinking they are here to stay. I’m telling you, he has the c(cuteness) factor so much that it’s out of control. And, his feet. The little wrinkles, they are so sweet. And, from what I hear, his Grandma likes to read my blog! Thanks Grandma, I really appreciate it! So, today’s contest will be for Grandma(okay, and maybe also for Mom and Dad). 25 comments and Grandma(and Mom and Dad) get a free 8×10 of their choice! And, no-one likes to brag as much a a grandma so this should be a fun one!

I am off to a workshop today but, yesterday, I had the joy of photographing sweet S at a mere 3.5 days old. Does life get any better? He was so sweet and cute and cuddly. What’s better is that his parents had a ‘vision’ for some of the pictures that they wanted. I love that. They put a lot of thought and heart into what they were looking for and I know they will enjoy their pictures for many years to come. I am sure they are stalking the blog right now…or they are too sleep deprived to even think about it! But, either way, here is a really quick sneak from our shoot yesterday. This was one that dad had envisioned and I have many more to come! Congrats guys and I can’t wait to document your little mans first year of life! Check back soon as I will have a much bigger post up about this little guy! For now, I am off to learn and grow!

I just started editing this session and fell in love with this one. This is one of Eli’s little preschool buddies and I can just see them getting into all sorts of mischief together. Seriously though, isn’t he handsome? His momma and aunt own the cutest little store and they made his adorable shirt!

And, let me tell you, he was quick. He was a hard little stinker to photograph but luckily, I am faster and I got some great pictures! I’ll be back later with more from this session but for now, I am off to play with the little ones!
